Top 3 NBA Draft Pick Projections

The 2024 NBA Draft is just a month away. The Atlanta Hawks somehow landed the first pick with the 10th-best odds and will have a decision to make with Trae Young and Dejounte Murray. Who they draft could decide one of their futures.

1. Atlanta Hawks Alex Sarr France C

Sarr is going first on every mock draft you will see out there. He projects to be great defensively but is unimpressive offensively. A comparison may be Derek Lively or Jalen Duren for him, which is a good starting caliber center but not great. Atlanta also already has a logjam of quality centers in Clint Capela and Onyeka Okongwu. Reed Sheppard is a sleeper to go No. 1 who could replace Trae Young.

2. Washington Wizards Zaccharie Risacher France SF

The draft stock for Risacher has never been higher. He is still playing in the playoffs and scored a career high with 28 points in his last game. He looks like a knockdown shooter with good height, length, and athleticism. Washington should take the best available player with high upside here.

3. Houston Rockets Reed Sheppard Kentucky PG/SG

Sheppard had the highest vertical leap in the NBA combine. It was very unexpected as his game doesn’t show that kind of athleticism. With good size for a point guard and elite shooting ability he could become a legit scoring point guard in the league and is worth taking for his upside. At minimum he should be a good bench scorer like a Payton Pritchard with Kyle Lowry upside.
