The NBA Playoffs are down to the final four teams for the Conference Finals. Let’s look at the three best players left in the playoffs and how they have been playing recently.
1. Nikola Jokic Nuggets
The back-to-back MVP winner didn’t win the award this season but he is playing like the league MVP in the playoffs and especially in this Western Conference Finals series against the Los Angeles Lakers. In game one Jokic had a ridiculous stat line of 34 points, 21 rebounds and 14 assists. He has taken his team to a 2-0 lead as they now will go on the road in LA to try to close the series out without returning home.
2. Jimmy Butler Heat
In the regular season Jimmy Butler is talked about as a top 20, maybe top 15 player in the league but during the playoffs he always turns it up a few notches. After some ridiculous games against Milwaukee in round one where he scored 56 followed by 42, Butler scored 34 points in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals to go with 6 steals.
3. Jayson Tatum Celtics
It has been an up and down playoff run so far for Tatum. In one game he scored seven points but in the closeout game in round two he scored 51. The Celtics will need Tatum to be a big time scorer to hold on to the title of third-best player in the playoffs. His scoring will be needed to get his team some wins to advance to the finals.
Honorable mentions in order: Anthony Davis, LeBron James, Jamal Murray, Jaylen Brown
