The NFL has turned into a passing league. That means that wide receivers are now more sought after than ever. Players have been signing huge deals at the position. We break down the top three wide receivers in the league currently.
1. Cooper Kupp Rams
The Los Angeles Rams just won the Super Bowl. Kupp was a huge part of that. After Robert Woods went down with an injury, Kupp received the bulk of the targets each week. He has the perfect combination to be a great all-around wide receiver with superior hands, speed, route running, and the ability to run after the catch. Last year Kupp had over 300 more receiving yards, two more touchdowns, and 22 more catches than the next best in each category in the league.
2. Ja’Marr Chase Bengals
Chase was a big part of the Bengals’ run to the Super Bowl. As just a rookie last year he was already one of the best receivers in the NFL. This year he is expected to take another jump to potentially be the best in the league. Chase did a lot of damage with just 81 catches in the regular season compared to 145 for Kupp. He is more of a big play receiver as his yards per catch was 18, and he had 13 touchdowns.
3. DaVante Adams Raiders
After spending his first eight years with the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers, Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. Two years ago he led the NFL in touchdown catches while playing just 14 games and also led the league in receiving yards per game. Last season he still managed 11 touchdowns and a career-high 1,552 receiving yards. It will be interesting to see how he does with a new quarterback.
