Around this time in the NBA season the trade rumors begin to swirl. Teams will turn into buyers or sellers depending on how the first half of the season has gone and what their future looks like. Let’s look at some top rumors around the league right now.
The Hawks have been trying to trade Collins all season it seems. He has a massive contract and has declined in his production this year as well. Now it appears that the Hawks have lowered their asking price which makes it likely he will be moved before the trade deadline.
Barton has been a solid scorer in the NBA for the past handful of seasons but he hasn’t been able to find his place in Washington. Even with Bradley Beal missing games Barton has picked up some DNPs in January. Teams are reportedly calling about trading for the veteran scoring wing.
Two players who declined their contract extensions
It is not a good sign when a player declines their contract extension. Whether they want a trade or not, their team may decide to move them if they think that they can’t get a deal done in the future. Two players, Jordan Clarkson from the Jazz and Myles Turner from the Pacers, are both in this situation. They both have been rumored to be traded and also rumored to be wanting to be traded as well.
