Top NFL Week 1 Performances

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes

Many people have been excited about some of the other top quarterbacks in the NFL, such as Josh Allen and Joe Burrow, that Mahomes has gone somewhat under the radar this offseason. In week one he made sure that everyone remembered he was still one of the best quarterbacks in the league as he threw for 360 yards and five touchdowns.

Saquon Barkley

A running back who made a comeback last year that was underwhelming had a massive week one this year. He showed that he still is a top running back in the league as he ran for 168 yards and caught six balls for another 30 yards as well.

Wide Receiver

Justin Jefferson

Jefferson had a standout performance in week one with nine catches for 184 yards and two touchdowns. It was the best statistical performance by far in week one for a wide receiver.

Tight End

Travis Kelce

The Chiefs moved on from Tyreek Hill this offseason, which has created even more opportunities for Travis Kelce. He was already one of the most targeted tight ends in the league but proved he could be even more involved this year than ever before. Kelce ended the game with eight catches for 121 yards and a touchdown.
