Every year Las Vegas hosts the main Summer League games for the NBA. Each team is full of promising players who are already on an NBA roster or who hope to make one. This year had some clear standouts. The top are listed below:
Keegan Murray Kings
The fourth pick in the 2022 NBA Draft was exceptional. He played in the California as well as Las Vegas Summer League. While he was exceptional in California, he was even more so in Las Vegas, as he was named the MVP of Summer League. Murray averaged 23.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, two assists and 1.3 steals per game and shot 40% from three in Las Vegas.
Quentin Grimes Knicks
Grimes was the No. 25 pick in the 2021 draft by the Knicks. He had a decent rookie season but showed his potential this year in Summer League. He was averaging 23.5 points per game before the Knicks played the Blazers in the championship game that they lost.
Cam Thomas Nets
It was an impressive offensive showing for Thomas. He averaged 28 points per game and was very consistent getting to the line as he got 12 free attempts per game. He showed signs of potentially being a big time scorer in the NBA.
