Top Players of Round 1 So Far

The NBA Playoffs have just tipped off. Some teams have only played two games so far but we already have some early stars who have been putting up ridiculous stat lines and performances. Let’s look at some of these big performances of the playoffs.

De’Aaron Fox Sacramento Kings

In game one De’Aaron Fox was all over the place. He finished the game with 38 points. He also added three steals but most impressively was his fourth quarter scoring as he matched Steph Curry bucket-for-bucket down the stretch to secure a win for the Kings in game one. Game two was more of the same for Fox. He scored 24 and got four steals but also had nine assists in this one as the Kings won yet agian.

Austin Reaves Los Angeles Lakers

Not Anthony Davis, not Lebron James, but Austin Reaves was the star of the Lakers’ first game that they won on the road as a seven seed beating the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies. In the fourth quarter Reaves took over and scored the bulk of the points in crunch time going one-on-one with his defender. He finished with 23 points on 8-13 shooting.

Tyrese Maxey Philadelphia 76ers

People forget how good Tyrese Maxey is playing with Joel Embiid, James Harden, and Tobias Harris. In game two this was a closer contest for the 76ers and they may not have been able to pull it off without Maxey. He scored 33 points in this game on 6-13 from three. Maxey is a different player in the playoffs it seems. We’ll see if he can continue that success going forward.
