Englishman Judd Trump completed his third official maximum break, 147 straight points, in Snooker China Open round of 16 yesterday.
Trump progressed through to top eight by overcoming China’s own Tian Pengfein by frames 5-3. It was in the fourth frame, where Trump showed his magnificent skills by completing the maximum break of 147.
Completing the maximum break is always extremely difficult, but Trump potted a couple of challenging points nearing the end of the break. Especially the final eight-ball seemed all but impossible to bend. But Trump did indeed succeed and was awarded his third official maximum break of his career – and a prize of 30 000 pounds.
