The NHL Regular Season 2016/2017 has run its course and we are prepared for the post-season. Regular season concluded with Washington Capitals on top once again and Detroit Red Wings missing the playoffs for the first time in 26 seasons. There were plenty of ups and downs during the 7-month period and bucket loads of highlights to look back to.

The Canadian hockey prodigy Connor McDavid, touted as “the next, next one” after Wayne Gretzky and Sidney Crosby, scored a baffling 101 points in 82 games. McDavid took the scoring race by storm, leaving Sidney Crosby and Patrick Kane 11 points behind. Playing only his second season in the NHL, the Lake Erie Otters junior led his team Edmonton Oilers to their first playoff-spot in 11 years.
