Was this the Best MLB Fight Ever?

It is not too common anymore to see fights in the MLB. This fight on Saturday though came when Jose Ramirez of the Cleveland Guardians slid into second base safely. Tim Anderson on the White Sox stood over the top of him that set off Ramirez as he immediately got upset about it. This led to the two players squaring up, like a fight you would see in the street or in a boxing match, right on the base path.

From there a few punches were thrown before Ramirez landed a huge shot on Anderson as he fell to the ground and appeared to be knocked out temporarily. Obviously the benches and bullpens cleared as a skirmish happened on the field.

Most fights we see in the MLB happen when a pitcher throws at a batter and then the batter charges the mound. This one happened on the base paths and was between two fielders that did not involve a pitcher, which is rare. There have been some good and iconic fights over the years but none that we can remember where a player actually lands a punch so hard it knocks the other player out before anyone can get to them to hold them back.
