Western Conference Playoffs Heating Up

The NBA’s Western Conference appears to be stacked with some talented teams at the top that all look like they could make a run in the playoffs. Let’s look at these top three teams right now that look poised for a title run but only one of these teams can come out of the West.

Oklahoma City Thunder

The Thunder breezed past the New Orleans Pelicans in the first round. They won in just four games to complete the sweep. Oklahoma City looked really good but you have to look at their opponent here. The Pelicans without Zion Williamson are not a great team and likely would not have made it to the play in without him. Still, this team looked great defensively and have talent across this roster.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota was another team who completed a sweep. Still, people are skeptical of them due to their inexperience. Their best player, Anthony Edwards, just won his first ever playoff series. This team is great defensively and have an elite scorer in Edwards plus Karl Anthony Towns.

Denver Nuggets

The favorites in the West didn’t sweep the Lakers in the first round. They are the favorites in the West but have to get past the Lakers before moving on to face Minnesota. Whoever wins that series should be the favorite when they have to probably play OKC in the Western Conference Finals.
