Deshaun Watson was in trade rumors all last season after allegations against him by dozens of women. He was essentially suspended for the entire 2021 NFL season. Now, he is still in trade rumors and teams are still interested in his services. Watson was seen as a top 5 quarterback in the NFL before this all happened and all of these teams are rumored to be interested in trading for him.
Cleveland Browns
The Browns are the newest NFL team to be rumored to have interest and it makes sense. With Baker Mayfield, the Browns have made the playoffs once losing in the divisional round in 2020. It was their first playoff appearance since 2002, but after that 2020 momentum the Browns failed to have a winning record and make the playoffs in 2021. The addition of Amari Cooper may be enough for Watson to waive his no-trade cause for the Browns.
New Orleans Saints
Jameis Winston was playing great for them before he tore his ACL last year. The experiment with all of their backup quarterbacks including Taysom Hill didn’t work out. It is rumored the Saints are also interested in Jimmy G and bringing back Winston. The Saints have a good franchise, and with Michael Thomas back, this could be a dangerous duo.
Carolina Panthers
There is a high-level of interest from Carolina, but it seems like the unlikeliest out of these three teams that Watson would waive his no-trade clause for. The Panthers have won five games now three seasons in a row. They have decent weapons with Christian McCaffrey and DJ Moore though which could be enticing for Watson.
