An argument can be made for a handful of players to be considered a top 3 quarterback in the NFL. These are our three in order with honorable mentions to follow:
3. Joe Burrow
There is no debating winning and that is what Joe Burrow has done in the NFL for his entire short career so far. It helps that Burrow has an elite wide receiver group with him but he can make all the throws and makes them in the clutch. Until he stops winning and producing these impressive numbers, it is hard to not have him in the top 3 ahead of Josh Allen.
2. Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers still has it. Despite his first losing season last year since 2018, he should still be considered a top QB in the league. With Green Bay last year he didn’t have the best weapons. Now he does and we will see what he can do with them. If people don’t have him in their top 3 right now, they likely will very soon after the season starts. People forget he won back-to-back MVPs just a year ago.
1. Patrick Mahomes
You can’t deny Mahomes is the best QB in the NFL right now. When people thought the Chiefs were done last year as Super Bowl contenders without Tyreek Hill, Mahomes had his best statistical year ever and won his second Super Bowl in just five years as an NFL starter. It’s hard to argue with that.
